Redfish are schooled up in a few areas of Tampa Bay, ready to put up a fight. When the waters cool off a bit, Snook fishing is just as exciting. 11-16″ Snapper are among the popular catches. Tarpon are also willing to bite once located.

Bag and length limits apply to listed saltwater species. There are no bag, possession, or length limits on game or nongame fish, except as listed in this guide. See definitions of daily bag and possession limits.

We have four different charter fishing boats for landing fish. Depending on what type of trip you book will depend on which Vessel is best suited for that type of trip. For Deep Sea Fishing we have our workhorse 37′ Spectre Fishing machine “Island Lure”! Inshore and Tarpon Fishing we have a 24ft Mako, a Skinny Water Machine. One thing that our boats have in common is that each is outfitted with the latest Safety Gear and the best electronics.  As for our Crew, we have the areas most Experienced, Most talked about experts in Capt. John Fidi and Capt. Gene Maxwell. Nobody in the Gulf of Mexico can match our Tournament Records. Not close.

Capt. Matt always delivers. Regardless of the season, He knows where the fish are and can get there in his very comfortable shallow running Andros 26′ boat. He provides his anglers with top notch fishing gear and a great history of his home waters, Tampa Bay. If you want to have a fantastic fishing trip in Tampa Bay, I highly recommend a charter with Capt. Matt!-Corey Maysles

For a natural chum job, scrape the pilings to crush and release barnacles or mussels. The scent stimulates sheepshead, drum, redfish and pompano—all likely recipients of cut shrimp dropped into the scent zone on 1⁄4-ounce jigheads. (Light hooks and splitshots also work, but jigheads effect a more streamlined presentation that drops quicker in current without spooking fish.)

“I have been out on a charter with Captain Jason several times this year. Have to say his Knowledge of the water ways is second to none. We Always come home with a boat full of fish & memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a fishing charter.”

“I fished with Captain Jason and can’t say enough good things about him. Jason was timely, professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We caught a nice amount of fish and Jason took us to different areas to target the fish we wanted to catch.”

Identifying productive bridge spots is mostly trial and error, but a few criteria will help you judge a good one. Current always benefits fishing, as it pulls food sources past ambush points—usually on the downcurrent side of pilings.
