“I have been out on a charter with Captain Jason several times this year. Have to say his Knowledge of the water ways is second to none. We Always come home with a boat full of fish & memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a fishing charter.”

We will allow you to bring beer (in cans), and allow drinking in moderation. Drunkenness WILL NOT be tolerated, and will result in the conclusion of the charter no matter how much time is left on the clock, and all fee(s) will be retained by InShoreTampaBay Fishing Charters. Anything deemed illegal by Florida law will not be permitted on our boat(s) period.

Midsummer is here and fishing can be very productive! Early mornings and late evenings are the best time to go fishing this month. Trout are hiding in the deeper water, whilst Snapper can be all over the Tampa Bay area.

On a particularly good year, the season can last up to 7-8 months. As any angler half worth his bait knows, that’s hardly standard for any Tarpon fishery. Does someone you care about suffer from a seemingly unbreakable ‘Tarpon curse’? Bring him to Tampa Bay. He should be completely cured within a day or two.

In addition to the excellent snook fishing in Tampa Bay, you can also fish for these beauties in other parts of the Gulf of Mexico and some of the Atlantic waters surrounding Florida. Snook prefer warm waters, so they can typically only be found in the southern half of the state. Their limited range, plus the restrictions on fishing snook in Florida that are in place for much of the year, make snook a prize catch for any angler.

This winter has been amazingly warm in the Tampa Bay area. January days hitting the upper 70s and even 80? Pinch me! As an angler, if you get out before or after any cold fronts, you can find some pretty awesome inshore fishing here on the Suncoast. Approaching fronts will keep offshore boats tied to the dock most of the times but for inshore anglers, if you do your homework, fishing in protected areas can take place almost any time. The key is to find a few protected “honey holes” that are out of the wind. When you do find your honey holes, the action can be hot! Here is a guide for the various fish you’ll find around Tampa Bay this winter and what jigs you should use to catch them.

YP – The Real Yellow PagesSM – helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business’s suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

We finally have a beautiful weekend in store for us. Air and water temperature are going to be lower and no humidity. Fishing should be on fire coming off this super moon. The cooler water temperatures will make the fish really want to eat. Schooling Redfish continue…

Extending over 400 square miles and fed by the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the entire bay and its tributaries act as a reliably diverse game fish nursery. This alone is already a feat in and of itself. As any seasoned angler will attest, most top-tier fisheries struggle with maintaining the variety of its celebrated fish stock. Tampa Bay’s massive ecosystem, on the other hand, plays host to pretty much all of the state’s favorite bruisers. When locals say there’s something in these waters for everyone, you better be sure they mean it.
