St.Pete beach area has been producing good numbers of Tarpon fishing along the beaches and the Sunshine Skyway bridge. The tarpon have been BIG and most of these fish are over 100lbs!!! Tarpon fishing can take some patience to get one on, but once hooked up you are in for the fight of your life. In addition to tarpon there have been decent numbers of snook just off St.Pete beach and blinds pass area. Live bait free lined in the current is a great way to catch these linesiders.
We have expectations of only catching a few fish. They where exceeded ten fold. We started small with shephead to make sure we got some fish. Then we stepped it up from species to species and did amazing on all. Steve is a great guy…More

Clearwater Beach has had a good Redfish bite, along with a good number of trout and some nice sharks. Redfish have been biting best on the early morning high tides for us and for anglers looking to target these fish we haven’t been have any issues finding them! Trout fishing has also been really good fishing over deep grass flats near the passes. And the sharks have been biting good on fresh dead bait while we have been catching other fish.

Today my girlfriend and I went on a fishing trip with Captain Anthony and Joey, it was a gift for her birthday. Both were great guys and gave us a true quality experience. It was a new experience for …both of us. My girlfriend reeled in 2 sharks and a pufferfish. I caught 2 mackerel and a cobia. The cobia was actually Captain Anthony’s line but he gave it to me when it hooked so I could bring him in. Then they even filleted and bagged the fish for us to take home. We took them to a restaurant to eat fresh. Perfect day thanks to Pocket Change Inshore Fishing Charters See More

The Tampa, Clearwater, and Tampa Bay areas offer a broad array of Tampa and Clearwater fishing charters. Your Tampa fishing trip begins fishing along our beautiful, world class beaches for game fish like Snook, whose drag screaming runs and jumps will excite even veteran anglers. If redfish are your primary target, you can pursue these tough battlers out on the Tampa Bay fishing flats, or in tight against the mangroves or other shoreline structure. Speckled sea trout represent our most readily available game fish in Tampa, FL. Trout can be caught most times of the year and often, from late November to early April, in great abundance. During the spring and fall months, near shore Clearwater fishing, (2 – 9 miles out) offers the opportunity to catch a wide range of species including Spanish mackerel, mangrove snapper, kingfish, grouper, and others. All of these species can be caught in Tampa and Clearwater using artificial lures or live bait.

There are several types and designs that can be highly effective when used in saltwater. They include, but are not limited to, hard baits like plugs, poppers and spoons and soft baits such as plastic swimbaits, grubs and slugs. The latter category also includes recently developed biodegradable baits like Berkley GULP!, which incorporate pheromone-based scents that chemically provoke a feeding response in fish.
Captain Andy and Captain Ollie were fantastic! We were so excited to experience deep sea fishing and they helped make the experience worth while. We caught several difference fish including a handful of sharks! They were knowledgeable of the water and where the best spots to catch fish were. Our family day trip for 5 was an amazing adventure and a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend anyone who lives in the area or is visiting Florida make time for these guys! They do an incredible job and you are guaranteed to catch some fish. At the end of the trip Captain Ollie cleaned our fish for us and we were able to eat our catch(es) of the day at Ricky’s. The experience was one to remember! Thank you to both guys for a successful day on the water!M MJ Boyce
