I think that going on a fishing charter in the ocean would be a lot of fun. I would seem like a real challenge to go out there and catch a large fish like tuna, or a marlin. That would be a real adventure, and then you get to tell stories about the fish you caught.

Thanks for stopping by PC Florida Fishing! When you’re ready to get out on the water and catch some of our local fish, call Capt. Sean at (229) 296-9975 to set up a fishing trip you won’t soon forget!

Description: greenish gray on back, shading to silvery sides; fish in dark waters showing gold on throat, pelvic, and anal fins; deep flattened body with small mouth; no scutes; 22 to 27 soft dorsal rays; 20 to 23 soft anal rays; origin of anal fin slightly behind origin of second dorsal.

If you ever battled a Tarpon before, you know this is one durable trophy fish. Most fights last from 20 to 40 minutes, although you should try and end the struggle as soon as possible. Other than ensuring the fish’s survival, this also helps in avoiding the sharks. The toothy critters are hardly scarce around here.

This Past March Break 11 year old son and I chartered Captain Kenny of Good Inshore Fishing. This is the second time in 3 years we have been out with Cpt. Kenny and I can honestly say I have never met a harder working…More

My fishing grounds are from the beautiful waters of Tarpon Springs, then progressing south to Clearwater Beach, Indian Shores, Redington Shores, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach, St. Petersburg and the entire south shore of Tampa Bay and everything in between.

Another one of Florida’s staple game fish, this backcountry brawler thrives in virtually all parts of the Bay. The elusive Snook is caught anywhere from beaches to docks, mangroves, jetties and seawalls. Safe to say, it is uniquely flexible in finding itself a nourishing habitat.

I’ve found the Paddle Tail to be an essential staple in my tackle box, especially for moving water/current in daytime conditions. I also find it effective when jigging or dead sticking on the bottom. I’ve tried DOA, Slayer, and Matrix Shad brands, and prefer Matrix for the action even if they may not be the most durable (they’re also pretty affordable, you can order them in bulk from their website for something like 30 cents a bait).

Captain Dave runs a 26’ foot Gause Built Boat that will fish 6 anglers comfortably. 26 feet of open fishing space, a 9 foot of beam, wide, high gunnels, custom 14’ tower with 16 rod holders, twin 10 foot PowerPole shallow water anchors, high end fishing equipment, and a dry ride! Versatility, comfort, quality and safety at its finest!
