There are plenty of captains willing to clean and fillet the fish for you following the trip. Unlike Tarpon, Reds make for a delicious table fare. In fact, many of the local restaurants will be more than happy to cook your catch. How’s that for a fresh lunch?

The extensive AA log of shows is diverse and quite unpredictable, From AA‘s sickness for spotted fish in “Spotted Fever” to using chicken wire shark cages in “Shark Island”, the over 200 episodes have brought colorful stories, high seas adventure and unique Florida history to the aqua-tube!

As a case study, consider the four main bridges which span the Greater Tampa Bay region (see accompanying story). Add to this the many smaller bridges linking residential areas, and the area presents an assortment of emergent structures not unlike the many oil and natural gas drilling rigs dotting the northern Gulf.

We work with hundreds of captains worldwide to help grow their businesses. Listing your boat on FishingBooker is the easiest way for you to gain access to thousands of customers who search and book fishing trips through our website daily.

Buyer beware: These days, it seems everybody and their brother is a fishing guide. Unfortunately, many of these captains are part-timers which use inferior equipment, vessels, have zero customer service skills or just recently obtained their USCG license and have little experience. Then there are the charter booking agencies who don’t care whose boat they stick you on, as long as they take your hard-earned money. These unscrupulous charter services sadly leave the consumer very disappointed and believing that the fishing in Florida is highly overrated.

• Laws: Consult local or Coast Guard authorities for special navigation rules applicable to bridges in your area. The U.S. Coast Guard has relaxed its post 9-11 regulations limiting boat proximity to bridges. All other rules of navigation still apply, but anglers are allowed to fish elsewhere along the Skyway and other area bridges. FS
