As its name implies, offshore fishing is done away from the shore over deep water. An offshore fishing expedition provides a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the world in addition to an exciting catching experience. Bass and shark are some of the top catches on offshore expeditions.

St. Pete Beach Fishing Charter Spring Fishing Report – Spring is here in St. Pete Beach and that means fishing is heating up! The cold fronts have stopped coming through for the most part and we have set record high air temps in February. Those warm air temps have let our water temps creep back up and more…

For anglers, this means that Tampa Bay is one of the most productive fisheries in the State. Housing over 200 species of fish, prime habitat, diversified ecological structures, temperate climate, and a plethora of baitfish, Tampa Bay is also a year round active fishery.

January fishing has had consistent with catches of Sea Trout, Sheepshead, Black drum, Pompano, and a few Redfish. We have been fishing in between cold fronts, but its not blowing we’re fishing! We have mainly been fishing with live shrimp and some artificial lures. If you prefer lures over bait just let me know! Here are some pics from the first half of the month.

Thank you very much for the review. The fishing has been outstanding this month and I am glad I was able to take you guys on a charter to be part of it. I hope you enjoy the fresh Trout fillets for Christmas Eve dinner….More

Clearwater Beach has been packed with both people and Snook! Snook have made there annual visit out the the gulf beaches and passes to spawn. The snook have been stacked up together and have been eating live grunts on both incoming and outgoing tide. Sea trout have also been hanging in the passes and just off the gulf beaches. Shark fishing has also been productive on recent charters. We have been catching black tips, bonnet heads, Atlantic sharp noises, most have been in the 2-5′ range, and sharks offer great table fair!
