No matter what the season or fish you want to catch he’ll get it hooked. He starts his trips off with a simple question: Do you want to fish for sport or dinner? Well, that night we ate snook and redfish! A day with Capt Matt is unforgettable whether it’s fishing with buddies or family. Oh yeah, and his boat is awesome!-Vinny Imbro
Anchor uptide of a bridge and hang a chum block off your stern to amass enticing bait schools and provide predators a scent trail to follow. Snapper will rise from the pilings, mackerel will swarm the area and you’ll probably raise a few cobia and sharks. Supplementing a chumline with freshly cut threadfin herring chunks can jumpstart a good bite.
Clearwater Beach Fishing Inshore this month has produced lots of Spotted Sea Trout, a few Redfish, and a some snook. • At Fort Pierce, “Snook season opened on the Atlantic coast Thursday and we’ve had one nice, slot 31-inch fish from the inlet already,” reports Clint Walker at the Fishing Center of St. Lucie (772-465-7637). Flounder are starting to bite from the south jetty on live shrimp and jigs tipped with shrimp. There’s lots of sheepshead and black drum being caught in the inlet. On the flats inside, trout are biting in two to four feet of water over grass and redfish are biting around deeper water in the mangroves. “I’ve heard nothing about offshore, it’s been too windy,” Walker says.
Fishing with Danny is like a trip to the fish market but a WHOLE lot more fun. Last Saturday (10/05), I caught 18 fish (10 different species). Had a fabulous day. We fished from Apollo Beach all along the Southshore of Tampa Bay

In backcountry pockets you can find lurking Snook and Redfish skimming the mud flats. Out front in the grass flats you again can find Snook patrolling the edges of the mangroves, while right behind you massive pushes can be sight casted from tailing Red’s. Finding Flounder near shallow structure is very common, as well as Gator Seatrout working the bait pods just a little further out.

The waters are still a bit cooler than the kind a bunch of fish like to aggressively chew in. Fishing conditions, however, have slowly but surely begun to improve. On a recon mission Tuesday, I visited both Sunshine Skyway bridge fishing piers and th…
• At Homosassa, the best fishing has been in the rivers on live shrimp. Most of the keeper fish are sheepshead and black drum. A few redfish are in the slot, but most are undersized. The tide change has seen the best bite. “The near shore rocks are holding sheepshead, but wind and weather has kept most anglers inshore,” reports Capt. William Toney of Homosassa Inshore Fishing Charters (352-621-9284).
Use south winds to your advantage and work the shore lines. The Redfish bite can be pretty good, with chances of catching Trout and Snook. Small Black Drum and Sheepshead can also make an occasional appearance.
Thank you very much for the review. The fishing has been outstanding this month and I am glad I was able to take you guys on a charter to be part of it. I hope you enjoy the fresh Trout fillets for Christmas Eve dinner….More

My girlfriend and I booked 4 hour charter with Captain Anthony on Wednesday. We were on fish the whole time. Hooked and landed many large snook. So many we skipped catchin fish we could have had for… lunch to stay on the jumping hard fighting fish he put us Anthony was very personable and friendly and knew his stuff. Being a long time fisherman I couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience and we will definitely be back to catch more with this charter See More
